Information you provide to us:

• Account details — name, email address, phone number, and login credentials.
• Household and cooking profile — dietary preferences, cuisines, likes and dislikes, allergies, and the pantry items you tell us you keep.
• Health and nutrition goals — optional information you choose to share to personalize recommendations.
• Meal plans, saved recipes, and grocery selections you create in the Services.
• Order and delivery details — for grocery orders, your delivery address and order history.
• Payment information — processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Communications — messages, feedback, and support requests you send us.

Information we collect automatically when you use the Services:

• Device and technical data — IP address, device type, browser, and operating system.
• Usage data — pages and screens viewed, features used, and interactions, collected through our analytics.
• Approximate location — derived from IP address, or precise location only if you enable it.

Information from third parties:

• If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic account information (such as your name and email) from that provider.
• App stores and attribution partners may share aggregated install and campaign data.

• Personalize your recipe feed, meal plans, and grocery recommendations based on your pantry, tastes, and household.
• Provide, maintain, and improve the Services, including fulfilling and delivering grocery orders.
• Generate recipe, substitution, and meal suggestions, which may use artificial intelligence (see Section 3).
• Process transactions and send transactional messages (order confirmations, delivery updates, account notices).
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
• Send marketing communications only where you have opted in; you can opt out at any time.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues, and comply with legal obligations.

Some Nuven features use artificial intelligence to generate recipes, meal ideas, ingredient substitutions, and related content. To do this, we may send relevant inputs (such as your pantry items or preferences) to trusted third-party AI providers acting on our behalf under contract. We do not permit these providers to use your information to train their own models for unrelated purposes. AI-generated content can contain errors and is not medical or nutritional advice.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as described below:

• Service providers (subprocessors) who help us run the Services, including: Amazon Web Services (hosting and infrastructure), Stripe (payment processing), PostHog (product analytics), Apple and Google (authentication and app distribution), and third-party AI providers (recipe and meal personalization). Each is bound by contract and receives only the data needed to perform its function.
• Grocery and delivery partners, to pick, pack, and deliver your orders accurately.
• Legal and safety — when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Nuven, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and to understand how the Services are used so we can improve them. Our analytics run through PostHog. We do not run third-party advertising trackers such as the Meta or TikTok pixels. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you ask us to delete your account or data, we delete it from our active systems within 30 days, and residual copies are removed from backups within 90 days, except where we are required to retain information by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it.
• Access a copy of your personal information.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Delete your personal information.
• Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — note that we do not sell or share your personal information.
• Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and we honor these choices for all users regardless of location. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@gonuven.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at support@gonuven.com and we will delete it.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We store and process information in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand your information will be processed in the United States.

The Services may link to third-party sites or services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the app. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
