A grocery store built on the idea that food labels should mean something and that a store's rubric should be public.
Why we started
The US grocery aisle contains additives that are banned in the EU and Singapore. "Natural flavor" appears on labels with no legal definition. Store-brand rubrics — when they exist — are private. We think that's fixable, so we built a store where the rubric is the product.
What we sell
Curated, culturally-relevant pantry staples: grains, oils, spices, condiments, snacks. Every SKU has been scored against The Nuven Standard and screened against our public No-Go List. Nothing on the shelf contains a banned-tier additive.
Who we are
A small team based in California. We ship from partner warehouses in select metros and are expanding as we build out cold-chain coverage. We source directly from producers where we can and use consolidator partners where we can't — see Sourcing for specifics.
